What are the different kinds of alcohol?

            There are three common types of alcohol namely ethanol or ethyl alcohol , methyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol. Ethyl alcohol is used for alcoholic beverages formed from fermentation of fruits or grains of cereals, also known as grain alcohol. Methyl alcohol or wood alcohol has poisonous properties and used as denaturant additive for ethanol for industrial. It is used in thinner for paints and shellac. Isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol is commonly used as disinfectant and solvent in industries.
